About the tournament
We plan to hold a Fermi Poker tournament in Berkeley, open to everyone, once enough people are interested. The game is like poker, but instead of random playing cards, you get to answer Fermi estimation questions like “How many smartphones were sold worldwide last year?” You secretly write down a range, bet on it, get two hints, bet again, and the narrowest range that contains the answer wins, unless someone bluffs everyone else out first.
No poker experience or math background needed; we’ll explain everything at the start. Chips have no cash value, and there is no gambling involved – just skill and wits!
Curious how it works? Read the guide.
